Question and Answers

Q:

kenmore intellisoft 420

A:

Thank you for your question as to why the softener has a reduced pressure in the flow.

Depending on where you are located in the country and if you have either city or well water there may be the reason why the flow has reduced.

Have you tried to put it through regeneration now cycle?

One reason is that if the unit is older the resin bed material may have deteriorated to the point that if has softened and is plugging the screen at the bottom of the resin bed and has slowing down the flow.

If the city has had a water line break or has flushed the lines nearby it also may have plugged the screen in the water softener.

Pleaee check the faucet aerators to see if you have any kind of build up in the screens on the faucet heads.

Please let me know what you find out and we can continue to troubleshoot with that information.

You can also call the Kenmore water line @ 1-800-426-9345 and if you can be in front of the softener they will be able do some diagnosing with you over the phone.

Q:

kenmore 420 recharge

A:

Thank you for your question on the water softener setting for 18 grains hardness of water.

Please follow the display set up per users manual.

There is no need to set how often it needs to regenerate.

During the initial set up input the hardness level as per manual instructions into the control on the display.

The softener will calculate how often it needs to regenerate by the water flow meter which calculates gallons of water usage versus the salt use and harness setting and then will automatically go into the regeneration cycle default time of 2:00 a.m. before you run out of soft water.

It will take a few days for the hot water in the water heater to be used ups and become soft.

Thank you.

Q:

dynomark 420 snow blower

A:

Thank you for your question.

I will be happy to assist you. I searched our records and we did not sell the Dynamark brand but our blowers were made by Noma. I could not find a parts list or manual for the 420 model. If you could look for a model number tag on the unit and reply below with all the information on the tag. Once I have that I will search again.
