Question and Answers

Q:

when connecting the solenoid to the starter does the top of the solenoid push up on the white piece or does it go above the white piece? model number CV730 type number 0017

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the tractor. I will be happy to assist you. The plunger has a notch that the lever fits on. When you energize the solenoid, it pulls the plunger down. This caused the gear to engage the ring gear on the flywheel. It also closes the contacts to run the starter motor. I posted an image below that shows the parts of the starter. Click on the image to enlarge it. I find it easier to connect the plunger if I pull the gear up. This will lower the lever and make it easier to connect the plunger.

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you for using Manage my life.

Q:

What is an E1 error?

A:

Your digital display should have shown a F1 and not an E1 error code. F1 indicates a primary control failure. Meaning the machine control board will need to be replaced. I recommend calling a service technician to repair your dryer.
