Q:

Why does my Proform 765 EKG treadmill walking belt stop?

A:

The CUR LIM light comes on when the motor on the treadmill is drawing more amperage than it should.

Assuming you have 110-120 volts ac to the treadmill, it would mean either the motor or belt is the problem.

Do the push test on the belt again and if you slide off the treadmill to the floor, the motor is bad. If you still go a short distance, the belt and maybe the walking board are worn out. Lift the belt and feel of the walking board, if it is worn you will feel areas that don't have the slick finish on them.

Q:

My ProForm 765 EKG Treadmill will not decline. Is there a way to recalibrate it?

A:

I posted a calibration procedure in the image below. If you calibrate the treadmill and that does not help, then you can use the wiring diagram and the troubleshooting at the bottom of that image to diagnose that failure. Note: Use extreme caution when checking live voltage. Wear electrical safety gloves and safety goggles. Unplug the treadmill after live testing is completed .

You can order parts from this page if necessary: Proform 765 EKG Treadmill Model 831.291770 Parts . Unplug the treadmill before accessing internal components and replacing parts.

If you need more help, reply with additional details and we will assist you further.

If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician diagnose and repair this failure, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services .

Q:

My Proform treadmill model 765 shows an error code e21. What does that mean?

A:

Error code E21 indicates the console is not receiving information from the speed sensor on the front roller. The motor will start, and when the console does not receive the signal that the front roller is turning, it shuts the treadmill off.

Disconnect the power to the treadmill and remove the motor hood. The speed sensor should be within 1/4 inch of the front roller.

The speed sensor might have slipped out of position or it might have failed. If the speed sensor is within 1/4 inch of the front roller, replace the sensor.

The part number of the speed sensor is 157504 and the cost is around $12.00.
