Q:

Kenmore Model 17567541 disposer disassembly

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

There is a nut in the center of the shredder that must be removed before the shredder can be removed from the rotor and shaft. There is a plastic cap covering the nut that must be pried off in order to see and access the nut.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

Q:

I HAVE A SEARS KENMORE GARBAGE DISPOSAL MODEL # 17567541. COULD YOU TELL ME THE HP IT IS"

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The model and serial number tag will normally state the HP rating. I was not able to confirm the HP rating in writing but I believe your model is a 3/4 HP based on the parts image.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

Barry: NO, the PH is NOT the HP rating. It would state HP and not PH. PH is an electrical terminology for Phase. It is a single phase motor. Your model is likely a 3/4 hp disposal which it generally plenty powerful enough to accomplish the job. They come in 1/3, 1/2 and 3/4 HP. I personally have 1/3 HP and it works great.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

I was not able to confirm the horse power (HP) rating but normally this style of disposal is usually 3/4 HP. The HP rating is usually located on the serial and model number tag.  I hope this is helpful.
