Question and Answers

Q:

What could cause my gas range to not heat up past 170 and sometimes smells strong of gas?

A:

The symptom with your range indicates a weak oven igniter. If the igniter does not pull enough current/amps the oven gas valve will not open. If the igniter is border line it could take a long time for the gas valve to open or it may open too slowly, or open up and not ignite the gas before the valve closes again. I recommend replacing the oven igniter at this time and it should take care of your range problem.

Part# for the bake igniter is 5303935066 which can be ordered on line at Sears.com and click on Parts.

I recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your range.

Q:

What would cause my Kenmore oven when set to 170 automatically goes to a high temperature and flashes F1 and won't turn off?

A:

The "F1" fault code is likely indicating a failed electronic oven control (EOC) board. It can also be caused by a faulty temperature sensor probe. The temperature sensor probe needs to removed from inside the oven cavity and tested with an ohm meter and compared to the RTD scale. If the oven temperature sensor measures correctly when compared to the RTD scale, replace the electronic oven control board. (See image below) If the temperature sensor does not measure correctly based on temperature, replace the oven sensor.

I recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your range.

Q:

I have a Sears Best/Craftsman 32cc 170 mph leaf blower. I have no model number. I need an owners manual. help

A:

You will have to have a model number to search for the owners manual. The routing of the fuel lines is not in the owners manual.

I am sending you an image of the routing for the fuel lines on most trimmers. If this doesn't help, you will need the correct model of the blower
