Table Saw blowing 15A breaker on no load startup

Thank you for your question on the motor blowing the 15 amp fuse.

Does the saw share this 15 amp circuit with anything else?

With the odor coming from the motor you may want to replace the motor. It may have done un-repairable damage.

Smoking and odor is not good thing when it comes to electric motors.

It comes with start and run capacitors on it.

If you ran a 220 circuit it would drop the amp draw for the motor but I do not think it would matter about the capacitors life expectancy.

Most electrical parts are non-returnable. When you look up the part on line it will tell you if it is returnable.

Motor for table saw .

You might want to call and ask because this one does not say that it is not returnable.

I hope this will help.

power supply circuit amperage

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

A 15 amp fused electrical supply is okay to connect to.

Here are the basic electrical requirements found in the installation instructions:

Assure that the electrical installation is adequate and in conformance with all national and local codes and ordinances.

You must have: *120-volt, 60 Hz, AC-only, 15 or 20 amp., fused electrical supply.

  • Copper wire only.

We recommend: • A time-delay fuse or circuit breaker. • A separate circuit.

If direct wiring dishwasher:

  • Use flexible, armored or non-metallic sheathed, copper wire with grounding wire that meets the wiring requirements for your home and local codes and ordinances.
  • Use strain relief method provided with house wiring junction box or install a U.L.-listed/CSA-certified clamp connector to the house wiring junction box. If using conduit, use a U.L.-listed/CSA-certified conduit connector.

If connecting dishwasher with a power supply cord:

  • Use Power Supply Cord Kit (Part No. 4317824) marked for use with dishwashers. Kit contents include:
  1. Volex, Inc., UL listed 16 gauge 3 wire power supply cord with 3 prong grounded plug.
  2. Neer C-500 7/8 inch strain relief.
  3. 3 wire connectors.
  4. Part No. 302797 grommet
Follow the kit instructions for installing the power supply cord.
  • Power supply cord must plug into a mating three prong, grounded outlet, located in the cabinet next to the dishwasher opening. Outlet must meet all local codes and ordinances.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

I have a Craftsman model 919.165610 compressor. I need a schematic to wire it. It's a 240v/15a/60hz/1ph. Can you help?

We don't have access to a wiring schematic for compressors. If you are looking to change the voltage on the motor remove the cover for the junction box on the motor. If there are instructions they will be on the inside of the cover.

If you are wiring the pressure switch, connect the black wire opposite the black wire to the motor. Connect the red wire opposite the red wire to the motor. Connect the white or green wire to ground.

Hope this helps.
