Question and Answers

Q:

Amana 7300 Washer not washing and beeping 3 fast beeps??

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Since your model washer does not have a digital display, the control will flash the Wash LED.

The "Wash" LED will flash and error code number is represented by the number of times the LED flashes. The first set of flashes represents the "F" and the second set of flashes represents the "E". There is a pause of 2 seconds between the flashes for "F" and "E".  The error code sequence will repeat after a pause of 5 seconds.

I added two images below with the procedure of accessing the fault code and how to decipher the codes.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

Q:

What would cause the relay (key#15) to keep going off and on?

A:

Generally when a compressor won't start the compressor is either locked up or a bad start relay.

The relay (key#15) is actually a solid state start device that energizes the start winding momentarily until the compressor starts and runs, and then the start relay removes the start voltage to the compressor. The clicking noise is the overload kicking out because the compressor is not able to start and it's pulling excessive amperage.

If the compressor will start after leaving the refrigerator unplugged for 30 minutes and then a short time later it starts the clicking noise, check to see if the condenser fan is running. If the condenser fan motor is not running the high head pressures will cause the overload to shut off the compressor until the sealed system pressures equalize and the overload resets.

I recommend calling a service technician to properly diagnose the failure and give you an estimate of repair.

Q:

15" craftsman trimmer

A:

The hub is keyed on the motor shaft. Look on the parts diagram or go to www.searspartsdirect.com and pull up the parts diagram.

You need to remove item 30 by prying it off. Item 29 will slide off the shaft. Item 28 will unscrew off the motor shaft by turning it the same direction the spool turns when cutting. You can hold the motor shaft by holding the hub while removing the gear.

Everything else will slide off the motor shaft.
