Question and Answers

Q:

Hydro gear 314-0510 Hydro Gear Transaxle

A:

Thank you for your question.  I am sorry you are having problems with the transaxle. If the transaxle will not drive at all, I recommend checking the oil level. Often times, the oil level will drop down after it has been purged. I posted an image below that shows how to check the oil. Click on the image to enlarge it. If the oil level is low, go ahead, add more oil, and purge it again. If the oil level is fine and it will not drive, I recommend checking the belt and the transport bypass. If the bypass is on the unit will not drive. I hope this is helpful. Please reply below with more details if you need further assistance.   If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a  Sears technician.  Here is a link for the website:  Sears Home Services .    Thank you for using Manage my life. My hydro shifts hard. What can I do?

A:

Without a model number of the mower, I can't pull up any information on the motion control lever and any possible adjustments.

If you will send another email and include the model number and details of what you have tried or seen, we will try to help.
