Q:

fixing food processor

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry that your food processor is not working.

Without the model number I can only give you a general answer.

• You said that when you try to start the food processor is just makes a humming noise.

• Remove the cup and see if you can turn the drive coupling at the base of the unit over by hand. If you cannot it sounds like the drive unit is seized.

• If you can move it and you try to run it again and it still does not work it may be the motor drive unit has failed.

• In either case you may need to send it in to the location listed on the owner’s manual for service.

• If it is under warranty I would recommend returning it to the Retail store and they may replace it, or be at least able to tell you where to send it for repair.

If you can find the model number under the unit please use the link to see if I can be of more help.

I hope this will help.

Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Q:

MY FOOD PROCESSOR MOTOR NOT RUNNIG

A:

Thank you for your question.

Not being able to use your food processor can be inconvenient.

  • Remove all the top pieces off the motor unit and try to turn the drive hub without any thing attached by hand. If you cannot turn the shaft it is seized up and if it is still under warranty, you can return it to the store for an over the counter exchange. It should have a 5 yr. warranty.

Thank you for the model number. Most of the food processor with multiple blades can be stored inside the container. From looking at the manual I think it shows that you have only two blades. The chopper blade at the bottom of the container and the shredder blade that goes on top of the chopper blade stem. You should be able to store the shredder blade on the top of the chopper blade where it would normally be used. If that is not the case and or you have more than one disc please let be know. Sam A.

Thank you for the update on the food processor blades. It must be like jig saw puzzle. When you took it out of the box were the discs all inside the cup? If they were not then I would say that they all do not fit that way. If you have to tall cutters then I do not think you can do that. The customer support for the product is out of contact for the holidays and I will not be able to contact them until next week so if you can wait till then I will try to get this information for you.
