Question and Answers

Q:

my garage door opener has stopped working

A:

Thank you for your question.

I can understand wanting to have your door opener working.

Is the circuit breaker for the garage tripped?

Is the opener on a light switch that got turned off?

Please check to see if the opener will work by using the wall control.

If the remotes are not working have you changed the batteries recently?

Please reply with a little more information as to what it is or is not doing.

Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Q:

I have a Craftsman Garage Door Opener. Model # 13953914.

A:

Thank you for your question on the reprogramming for the key less entry.

There should be a set of instructions on the inside of the cover of the key less entry.

As long as you know the original code then it should have worked to change to the new code. Enter the current password and then press the # button.

Now enter the new code and press enter.

You may have to push and hold the learn button to remove the code from the logic board.

Push and hold the learn button on the motor unit logic board for at least six seconds or until the l.e.d. light goes out.

Then push the same button but do not hold it down and put in the four digit code into the keyless entry and push the enter key. The work light should flash once to show it has accepted the code. No other code should work now.

You will also so have to reprogram the remotes since you have erased all the codes in the logic board.

Holding the remote button down push the learn button again and the work light will flash again to indicate it has accepted the remote. Continue with the other remotes. You have about 30 seconds to get all the remotes programmed until it times out and you would need to push the learn button again.

I hope this will help.

Sam A.
