10 inch Craftsman sliding compound mitre saw #137212371: This will not cut at a true 45 degree angle, there are no bolts or screw adjustments to be found, it is

Thank you for your question.

I can understand wanting the miter saw to make accurate cuts at any bevel or miter.

Has it just recently changed to become out of calibration?

I notice you did not say how far out of 45 degrees it is. There may be a tolerance limitation.

Is it possible that the bevel is out of calibration and it is throwing miter cut off?

I do not believe there is an actual adjustment for the miter. If the miter gauge indicator is showing 90 degrees in the 90 degree position then the 45 should be true because it is a notched location as you mentioned.

I agree with you that I also do not see any mechanical adjustment for the miter cut.

Is this miter saw new, because I am showing that this model has been out for awhile?

If you have followed all the adjustments as stated in the owner's manual then I would take the saw in if it is under warranty to see if there is some way to get it true.

If you need more information please reply and I will be glad to help you.
