Question and Answers

Q:

Trimmer head

A:

Thank you for your question on the string spool spinning off.

You may want to apply so blue color Locktite onto the threads of the trimmer drive and install the head back on.

It is possible that it was not torque correctly from the factory. Since the engine rotation will normally tighten the head onto the threads then putting a little blue Locktite on it will keep it on. But you can still remove it to change out the head with the blue colored Locktite.

If the string spun out and wrapped around the head it may have caused a back torque and loosened the head.

I hope this will help.
