Q:

I am assuming you have a low flame on all the burners.

Salina sent you a link to an answer that is good also. Here are some other ideas to try.

Is there any problem with the way the regulator connects to the LP tank? When you connect the regulator to the tank it has to depress a release valve inside the tank valve in order for gas to flow. The tanks also have a safety valve that will shut off or severely restrict the flow of gas if a line breaks and too much gas flows out of the tank. To reset this safety valve you should disconnect the regulator for 8-10 minutes then connect it back.

If there is no problem with the tank remove the burners and gas valve and blow through them or blow them out with compressed air.

Blow compressed air through the burners in case there are spider webs inside them.

Disconnect the regulator hose from the grill and blow air through the manifold and valves to be sure everything is open.

If none of this helps you should call 1-800-469-4663 or go to www.searshomeservices.com and get a Sears technician to diagnose and repair the problem with the grill.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern. It is normal for the augur to ratchet in one direction. It does this to help push the clothes downwards to the lower portion of the agitator.

Danny: Based on your reply, the agitator is working normally as well as the augur. The basket should not be moving nor the outer tub. The degree of the agitation strokes can not be changed and is based on the mechanical action and design of the transmission.

Why would the Power-Mate on my Kenmore vacuum only run if the handle is rotated CW or CCW?

A:

There is likely a bad wire connection or a broken wire. The bad connection could be in the handle, switch, wand wire harness, at the Power-mate or where it connects to at the canister.

I recommend taking the hose, wand, canister and the Power-Mate in for servicing. It can be major job to locate and correct the intermittent connections.
