Question and Answers

Q:

I have a vacuum model 11627615700. I can't take off part KC92PBZTZV06. How do I do it?

A:

You shouldn't need any other parts. I am sending you some images that show how to release and remove the terminal block that locks the end of the hose to the elbow.

Remove the plastic part with the 2 latches and the part with the terminals on it will come out. You can then slide the hose adapter off the KC92PBZTZV06.

When you put the hose adapter on the new elbow, assemble the terminal block to the latching part and slide them on together. The latching part has to slide underneath the 2 guides on the elbow to go into place and latch.

There are no documents showing this procedure. These pictures were made by us. I hope this helps.

Q:

i have a kenmore 116 canister vacum

A:

A technician will likely need to diagnose and repair this type of vacuum cleaner problem. You could have a problem with the switch in the handle, a failed control board in the canister for the motor or a wiring failure between components that could cause this problem. You could also have a bad vacuum motor. With so many possibilities for the failure, a technician will likely need to perform several advanced troubleshooting checks to determine the exact cause of your problem. Here is a link for the Sears Service website that has drop-off locations and labor pricing: Sears Home Services . Most areas have flat rate labor pricing that is extremely reasonable for vacuum cleaner repair.

Q:

Kenmore vacum #11627615700: The roller in the PowerMate unit is not turning. I already examined the belt, and checked for anything stuck in the roller.

A:

Thank you for your question on the roller brush for the PowerMate not turning.

There is a reset button on the top of the PowerMate you need to push to make sure the circuit to the good.

To check to see if we have power to the end of the handle please connect the PowerMate Jr. to the handle to see if it works.

If it does then I would say that the wire harness in the wand tubes is the problem.

If the PowerMate Jr. works on the end handle then I would say that the connector inside the wand is the problem.

I will send you some directions and pictures on opening up the wand.

The third picture shows the tabs you will have to remove to access the connector and ribbon strip inside the plastic channel on the wand.

Once you have the two tabs remove slide the housing down to release and get access to the ribbon and connector inside the channel.

You will need to replace the connector with pins because it has an internal fuse.

The part number for the fuse link is 8191782 for about $10.00.

I hope this will help.
