Question and Answers

Q:

How do I change my motor from 115 volts to 230 volts?

A:

Your saw does not have a dual voltage motor. The owners manual states the saw is configured for 115 volts at the factory, and this is what must be supplied to make the saw operate properly.

You can't change the saw to 230 volts.

Q:

How exactly do I change the wiring in my electric motor to convert it from 230volt to 115 volt?

A:

I do not have any information on the Howard model 50920318195 motor. Generally speaking there are instructions on rewiring the motor from 115 to 230 on the back side of the electrical access plate. If the wiring instructions are missing I recommend taking the motor to your local electrical motor rebuilding/rewinding shop and have them wire it up for you.

Q:

My Proform xp 115 elliptical machine squeaks. Whats the fix?

A:

Noises from ellipticals are usually connected with the bearings for the pedal arms.

Go to www.searspartsdirect.com and enter the model of the elliptical. We show the model as 831.286430. Look on the parts diagram at items 88 and 92. These are the bearings that usually need lubricating or replacing.
