Question and Answers

My table saw #11329943 has chewed up Arbor key which seams to be causing the pulley to wabble and the belt to vibrate excesively. Can the key be replaced?

Thank you for your question. I have a saw similar to yours and had the same problem. If the pulley is loose on the arbor, I recommend replacing the pulley and the key. Without the key in the pulley, the pulley should be tight just barely sliding onto the arbor. If the pulley has been spinning on the arbor, it most likely has opened up the bore in the pulley. Before ordering the parts, you might want to inspect the arbor. If it is gouged or grooved, you should replace that as well. If my saw sat for a long period, the belt would form to the pulley from the weight of the motor and vibrate when I turned it on. Now I remove the belt if I let the saw sit for more than a week.

The part number for the key is STD580025 and the pulley is STD328022. You can order the parts from our parts website Sears Parts Direct .
