Q:

timing belt for model 113226424 disc/belt sander

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the sander. To remove the sanding disc from the shaft you need to loosen the set screw on the backside of the disc. The cover behind the disc should have a notch for you to insert an allen wrench. Use a flashlight to look inside the notch and find the setscrew. Once you have it aligned with the notch use a long allen wrench to loosen the set screw. Then slide the disc off and remove the belt cover. I was able to find the assembly instructions that came with the sander and posted them below. Just click on the image to enlarge them.

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

The process for changing the sanding belt on the sander is in the image below from the owner's manual. You first loosen the knob and push the front roller in against the tension spring until it locks. You can then install the new belt and with a flat blade screwdriver slide into a slot location on the side of the sander and release the lock mechanism to re-tension the sanding belt. See the instructions below. Thank you for using Manage My Life.
