Shop vac stopped while I was using it. I cleaned it out replaced the filter. still does not go on.


Thank you for your question as to why the Craftsman wet/dry vacuum stopped while you were using it.

It is possible that one of the brush contacts has come loose and is not making contact with the motor commutator or there may be a broken wire.

You will need to remove the top cover and check for voltage into and through the switch into the motor brush contacts.

If you feel comfortable with checking line voltage at the switch and motor then you should have 120 volts going to and through the switch to the motor. If you have a volt/ohm meter then you will be able to check for the proper voltage.
