Q:

my Kenmore he 3t washer stopped with error code 11 F, I followed trouble shooting guidlines, and it flashed a code of C:01. What does this mean. Help.

A:

Hi Karen,

Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life.

I am sorry you are having problems with your washer.

Without a model number I will only be able to offer generic information. The f11 error in this type of washer is generally a problem with the main control or the door lock assembly, but it can also be a communication problem between the main and motor control.

To determine the cause of the f11 error you will need a volt/ohm meter and live voltage checks will have to be made. If you have a meter and are comfortable making live voltage checks, reply to this post with a complete model number.

In the meantime you can open the door by removing the toe panel (see image below), and reaching up through the bottom and releasing the door lock assembly. Always unplug or de-energize electrical equipment before removing covers or attempting service. Be careful and wear appropriate hand protection when working around sharp metal parts. There may be a door lock release cord hanging down (resembles weed eater cord) behind the toe panel. If not you will have to feel around to find the tab on the door lock assembly. Pull down on this tab.

I highly recommend having a trained service technician evaluate this problem. You can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post. Thanks again for using Manage My Life.

Q:

Interpreting Error codes on Bosch Washer WFMC2100UC/01 Bosch Washer WFMC2100UC/01

A:

The D:08 indicates that the motor speed sensor (tachometer) failed. The D:10 indicates that the power limiter switch tripped due to the motor being overloaded or binding up. The C:01 indicates that the codes were encountered the previous cycle in the last 16 washes.

I recommend that you unplug the washer and check the drive system again for binding. You indicated that the drum spins freely by hand (I assume with the drive belt attached to the motor). With the belt disconnected, the spin basket should spin even easier. Check for any binding or noise in the spin basket with the belt detached. The basket may not be spinning easily with a load of wet clothes in the basket.

If you find no problems in the drive system, then you may need to replace the motor.

I hope that this information helps. If you need further assistance, let us know.

Thanks for choosing Sears PartsDirect.
