Question and Answers

Is my ignitor the problem?

Thank you for your question on the igniters not working on the grill.

I apologize for the BBQ grill having this problem so quickly after purchase.

Replacing the battery is certainly the right thing to do first.

Did you put it in with plus side up?

The problem with most grills not having the spark working is the ground connections.

I would suggest that you remove the grates and if you have then on this grill the flavor plates and look to see if all the igniter probes on within the thickness of a dime to ground on the burner.

Also check all the connections from the spark module to all the burners.

If all of this seems good then it may be the spark module that is the problem. If none of the igniters are sparking then this may be the problem.

I would suggest replace the ignition module under battery from the underside.

Since this grill is under 1 year old then I would call for service to have it repaired under warranty.

I have included the information for contacting Sears service.

I hope this information will help you.
