Question and Answers

Do I need a new timer?

With out the model number of your dryer I will not be able to know what type of control system it has. Most likely it's not the timer. It could be a thermistor, a control board or relay too, depending on the model. It could be the motor over heating and shutting off on the thermal overload inside the motor.

What cycle and where on the timer does this happen?

I recommend resubmitting your question with the model number and details for specific information.

Thanks, it's a 1994 kenmore model # 110-96583810 -It goes through the cycle, buzzes 3 times and shuts off at the end of the cycle like it's working fine, but then restarts in a few minutes on the next cycle on the dial (perm press). Except for restarting, everything seems to be to working good.
