Question and Answers

Q:

my dryer is confused 11096374200 Kenmore Electric dryer

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

You most likely found the issue. A blockage in the vent hose/vent system.

A restricted or blocked vent system/vent hose would definitely cause the symptom you described. While you have the vent hose disconnected from the back of the dryer, this would be a good time to check air flow and temperature of the air at the exhaust. On high heat temperature setting, the exhaust temperature should average around 140-150 degrees. If you have good air flow blowing out the exhaust and the temperature is averaging between 140-150 degrees, your dryer heating correctly. Be sure to check the vent hood too outside where it exhaust for any restrictions or blockages.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.
