Dryer will not start 11086870100 Kenmore Dryer

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be happy to help with your dryer. Upon researching model 11086870100; the wire coming from the door switch to the timer may be damaged. This would close the circuit at the switch but the timer wouldn’t receive the power.

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. We appreciate your business. Have a great day

Kenmore Dryer has drum banging sound 11086870100 11086870100

Thank you for your inquiry on your Kenmore Dishwasher, Model: 665.1325. From reviewing the details on your model, you could have a problem with the support rollers or the idler pulley. On some models of Kenmore dryers, you can unplug the unit and lift the top panel to attempt to find the cause of the knocking. Follow these steps to hinge open the top: Unplug the dryer to completely disconnect electrical power. Turn off the gas supply if it is a gas dryer. Take the lint screen out. Remove the two screws that secure the top panel to the lint screen housing. Release the clips on the front right and front left side of the top panel that secure it to the front dryer panel. Hinge the top up and back. Rest the top securely against the wall behind the dryer. Spin the dryer drum manually and see if you can determine the source of the knocking. This may guide you toward parts that need to be replaced.

Safety Warning: Before beginning the repair, disconnect the direct power supply to the dryer to prevent the risk of injury or any electrical shock.

If you don’t feel comfortable or confident in this repair, then you can have it repaired at home by a sears technician. I have the included a link to the website: Sears Home Services or call 1-800-469-4663

no heat comming out to dry clothes 11086870100 Kenmore Dryer

Thank you for choosing and being a valued member.  I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when your dryer is no longer heating.

The parts that can cause a dryer not to heat is heating element, thermistor, thermal fuse, and thermostats.

The first to check would be the heating element.

To test each component (with the dryer still unplugged), remove one wire and measure the resistance across the leads of the fuse or thermostat. You should measure near zero ohms of resistance (closed). If you measure infinite resistance (open) through any component it has failed and will need to be replaced.
If all of these components test okay then you could still have one of these failures that would prevent the dryer from heating:
Failed contact in the motor centrifugal switch
Failed contact in the timer
Wiring failure between components in the heating circuit

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Thank you for your question. Have a great day.
