First you will need to turn off power to the dryer.
Then remove the screews from the rear panel.
i have attached the instructions to show you where the thermal fuse is located.

Q:

High pitched sound? 11076982502 Kenmore Elite Residential dryer

Q:

How do you remove the top of dryer Kenmore Elite model 11076982502 dryer

A:

I'm sorry for the previous incorrect answer. Dryer styles change and even service manuals have a hard time keeping up.

The instructions to remove the top and access the door switch are in the image below. Read through the instructions and remember to unplug the dryer first.

Your particular dryer has two clips holding the console down as shown in the top picture in the image. Earlier model dryers had two screws holding the console as shown in the instructions below the picture. The clips replaced the screws.

Once you use a putty knife to release the clips and raise the console you will see the three screws that have to be removed to remove the top of the dryer.

With the top removed you can access and change the door switch.

The last part of the instructions shows how to remove the lower access panel. You don't need to do this to change the door switch but this is how you access the thermostats and fuses and gas valve and this information may come in handy in the future. Consider it bonus information to make up for the wrong previous answer.

I hope this information helps you complete this project but submit another question with any additional detail for further assistance with this dryer.
