Question and Answers

Q:

How do I pull the pulley off of the motor? 11072722101

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The motor pulley is normally threaded onto the end of the motor shaft. Hold the pulley end of the motor shaft with a wrench and then loosen and remove the pulley by turning the pulley in a counter clockwise (CCW) direction. Look for a flat spot on the motor shaft to slip proper size wrench over to prevent the motor shaft from turning while removing the pulley.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

Q:

Kenmore Gas Dryer #11072722101: Buzzing noise during cycle, seems to emitt from the bottom. Thanks for a complete examination process, volts/ohms reading,

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

I must assume the dryer is heating. Without being able to hear the buzzing noise I will have to assume the buzzing noise is coming from the gas solenoid coils or possibly just a vibration noise. In order to access the components at the bottom will require removing the front panel and drum but then you will not be able to run the dryer. I recommend calling a service technician to find the cause of the buzzing noise.

I added a YouTube video showing how to access and replace the solenoid coils if you find them chattering/buzzing.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.
