Question and Answers

dryer making a clicking noise

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

If the dryer is not starting or running when the push to start is pushed, it could have a faulty thermal fuse. The thermal fuse should be tested for continuity with an Ohm meter. The thermal fuse is located on blower wheel housing duct. The front lower access will need to be taken off in order to access the thermal fuse. NOTE: Disconnect the dryer from the power source before servicing the dryer.

I added a YouTube video showing how to access and replace the thermal fuse and a video showing how to test the thermal fuse. If you find the thermal fuse faulty, the part number of the thermal fuse is 3392519 which can be ordered from Sears PartsDirect .

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
