Question and Answers

kenmore dryer issue--won't turn on

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Based on your symptom and details I suspect a faulty thermal fuse if the estimated time will count down when selecting a TIMED dry cycle when the start button is pushed.

The thermal fuse is located behind the front lower access panel. I added a video showing how to access and remove and replace the thermal fuse. NOTE: Be sure to disconnect the power cord from the power source before removing the front lower access panel. You will not need to remove the top panel or flip the console back in order to access the thermal fuse with your model dryer.

I also added a video showing how to test thermal fuse using an Ohm meter.

If you find a faulty thermal fuse; the thermal fuse #3390719 for Kenmore model 110.61062000 can be ordered from Sears Parts Direct.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.
