KENMORE ELITE WASHER MODEL 11047751800

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The "F35" fault code indicates a water level pressure switch failure. The machine control board has detected a malfunction with the water level pressure switch. This could be caused by a restriction or blockage in the pressure switch hose or where it connects in the air trap below the tub. If the pressure switch hose develops a hole it can also cause the fault code. If there are no restrictions or blockages in the air hose between the pressure switch and the air trap, the water level pressure switch is likely faulty. The water level sensor is located under the top at the top of the right hand side panel.

The "F25" fault code indicates a drive motor tachometer failure. If the motor control or machine control board does not properly detect the motor speed, the machine will shut down. This failure could be caused by loose wire connection between the motor and motor control or between the motor control and the machine control board. It could also be caused by a faulty motor, motor control or the machine control board. The motor control is located under the washer and the machine control is located under the top on side panel.

These two types of fault codes should be diagnosed by a service technician with the proper equipment and training. I would hate to see you purchase a major and expensive control board and it not resolve the issues.

If you feel confident in checking for loose connections, disconnect the power cord from the power source before servicing.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
