Q:

washer won't run 11047571600 Kenmore Residential washers

A:

The rL code normally will only be displayed in the Clean Washer cycle. The spin basket must be completely empty to run that Clean Washer cycle. If the washer is empty and you are attempting to run that Clean Washer cycle, then you could have a problem with the drive system or the electronic control boards.

You will normally need to have a service technician diagnose and repair this type of problem. You can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services .

If you want to fix this problem yourself, reply with additional details and we will assist you further with technical troubleshooting and repair information.

Q:

Washing machine model # 11047571600 has an error code of Sd or 5d

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The "Sd" fault code means the water level pressure switch detected too much suds developing in the washer and it's not able to drain. When "Sd" displays, the washer will fill with 4 liters of water and sit for 5 minutes to rest and not tumble in order to let the suds turn back into liquid. It will then attempt to drain or spin.

The first thing to do is to use less detergent. High Efficiency (HE) detergent is recommended. Try cutting the amount of detergent by 1/2.

The drain pump filter should also be checked for any restrictions preventing the water from draining. I added an image below with the procedure of accessing and removing the drain pump filter cap. NOTE: Disconnect the power cord from the power source before removing the lower access panel. Drain the washer of water before removing the drain pump filter cap. If you have a wet/dry vacuum, connect the end of the drain hose to the vacuum hose and draw the water out. Have shallow pan and large old towel handy because there will be some residual water left in the bottom of the tub and pump.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.
