Stained Bellow 11047561601 Kenmore Residential washer

Thank you for contacting with your question about your Kenmore Washer model 11047561601. I am so sorry the bellow is stained. I will be happy to help you with this.

You mentioned that the bellow has been stained since day one. Is this washer still in warranty? If so, please contact our service department at or by calling 1-800-469-4663 (1-800-4MY-HOME).  The technician will be able to determine if the stain is a result of a problem with the washer. If there are no likely causes for the stain, then the stain most likely occurred at the factory.

If the washer is out of warranty you may want to see if the stain can be removed. I have included the link for a washing machine cleaner that will remove build up on the bellow, inside the tub and drain. Depending on what the stain is made of, this may resolve the issues.

Affresh Washing Machine Cleaner

If the stain persists I recommend you check to see if the bellow is properly installed. If it isn’t, then it is likely the grease-like substance is from the bellow coming into contact with a part inside of the cabinet. Check for loose fitting of the bellow. Also look to see if part of it is bent out of place or if there are any holes or rips in it. If the bellow is damaged, it will need to be replaced. I have included that link for you also.
