Question and Answers

Q:

Kenmore Washer #(11047512603) an Error of ( f 24)

A:

Hi Beth,

Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life.

The F24 error code is a water temperature sensor error. We often find one of the wires has become disconnected from the sensor. If this is the case, I recommend cutting the wire connectors off and installing 1/4 inch female connectors. Then connect the wires to the sensor. It does not matter what wire goes to what terminal. To access the sensor you need to unplug the washer and remove the back. I have provided you with the instructions below for accessing the sensor. Always unplug or de-energize electrical equipment before removing covers or attempting service. Be careful and wear appropriate hand protection when working around sharp metal parts. Once you have gotten to the sensor check the wire connections. If you find they are loose repair them using the repair method mentioned above.

If the connections are good, remove the wires and ohm the terminals. You should get a reading of 10k ohms or 10,000 ohms at room temperature. If the reading is not close to that, the sensor is defective. If the sensor is reading within the range, reseat the wires and access the central control board. You need to find the connector with two black wires labeled TH2 or SET2. This is the connector for the sensor. Remove the connector and ohm the wires. You should get the same reading as you did when you ohmed the sensor. If you do not get the same reading, the wire harness is defective and needs to be replaced. If you do get the same reading, the control is the problem. Before replacing the central control reseat the connector and test the operation. If it gives the F24 error code, you need to replace the central control.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Q:

Washer front load Kenmore model 11047512603 error code f27

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The "F27" fault code indicates the pressure contact remained closed for more that 60 seconds meaning it likely overfilled with water. The drain pump should have come on in order to drain the overfilled washer. If the drain pump did not come on; this can also cause "F27" to display. See images below.

The first thing to check is drain pump operation. If the drain pump is operating and it's not draining; I would suspect a blockage or restriction in the drain pump, tub to drain pump hose or a restriction in the drain hose. If the drain pump is running and it’s draining all the water then I would suspect a faulty water level pressure switch. The water level pressure switch is located under the top. It will mounted on the upper side panel. Remove the air hose to reset the pressure switch.

I recommend checking the drain pump filter area for a blockage first. Access the drain pump by removing the front lower access panel. There are a couple of screws along the bottom of the panel to remove. NOTE: Disconnect the power cord from the power source and remove the water from the tub before removing the drain pump filter cap.

Check the things I have covered here and if I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

Q:

Kenmore washer error code

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The "F24" fault code indicates a water temperature sensor error. One of the wires connected to the temperature sensor may have vibrated loose causing the error.

The water temperature sensor could also be out of range. The sensor can be disconnected and tested with an Ohm meter for the proper resistance. The temperature sensor is located at the lower back area of the tub. Disconnect the power cord from the power source and then remove the rear panel. You may find that a wire has vibrated off. If the wires are attached then you should disconnect the wires and check the resistance of the sensor with an Ohm meter. If the sensor tests Okay, the sensor circuit connection will need to be checked where it connects to the machine control board located under the top. The sensor circuit will be labeled as TH2.

Check the things I have covered here and if I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.
