Question and Answers

Q:

Kenmore Elite Washer Mod #11044832200

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

If the thermal protector on the MCU (motor control unit) heat sink gets too hot, it will open the thermal protector on the heat sink which will stop motor functions and an "F10" will be displayed.

Potential Causes:

  • Too heavy/large load
  • Friction issue
  • Check for Proper Installation, verify the unit is not located near a source of heat and has proper ventilation.
  • Check Wire Harness connections to the MCU, the motor, and Central Control Unit (CCU).
  • Check the Drive system for any worn or failed components.
  • Check Motor.
  • Check MCU.

I recommend checking the motor windings for proper resistance, check for any friction issues. If the motor checks Okay and there are no frictions issues with the motor or spin basket then I would suspect a faulty motor control board.

I added an image below with additional information and the motor specifications. NOTE: Disconnect the power cord from the power source before servicing your washer.

Q:

how do I install a bellow in a kenmore elite model #11044832200

A:

Thank you for your question.

I have included a set of illustrated instruction for a model I think may be similar to yours. (See below) I intend for this to be a rough guide only. The pictures may not look exactly like your washer. Please unplug the washer and turn the water off. Then read all of the instructions before you attempt to replace the bellow. If you feel comfortable, in your abilities go ahead and start the repair. Q:

model # 11044832200 displaying FH code how to troubleshoot?

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The links Priscilla provided in the first response will provide the information needed to diagnose the "F/H" fault code. Also, make sure the washer drain water or it will not add any water. Make sure the hot and cold water supply is coming in normally and not trickling in.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.
