Question and Answers

Q:

Kenmore Washer Model # 11042822203

A:

Here is a video that shows that repair: Washer Door Boot Seal Replacement . If you have not already order that replacement bellows, you can order it from the Sears PartsDirect website. The part number is 8182119. Here is a direct link for that part: Bellow .

That first link for a previous answer that Pvalde2 posted in the above response contains an image that shows how to properly seat that bellows. I added that image below this response as well. Using that information will help prevent the seal from leaking after that installation.

This information should help you complete that repair. If you need more assistance, let us know.

If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician complete this repair, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services .

Q:

Error code for washing machine

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Disconnect the power cord for a few minutes and then reconnect the power cord to see if 8888 displays again. If it displays the 8888 again without pushing any buttons and it will not clear then it likely has failed User Interface (Touch Pad).

The 8888 could be caused also by a loose or cut ribbon connection where it connects to the Machine Control Board. Check for a loose Ribbon connection at the Machine Control Board, or for a cut Ribbon. If both are good then the likely failure is the User Interface (Touch Pad). I added an image below with the removal instructions.

NOTE: Disconnect the power cord from the power source before removing the top panel.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
