Question and Answers

Q:

11027082602 no spin no drain ?

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the washer. I suspect the washer still has water in it. If this is the case I recommend putting the washer into a drain and spin cycle. When you push the start button, listen for a hum noise coming from the bottom of the washer. If you hear a humming from down below I suspect some thing is jammed in the pump. You can usually remove the pump and remove what is jamming the pump. To remove the pump unplug the washer and pull it out from the wall about a foot and a half. Then lean the washer back against the wall. Have a helper hold the washer back so it does not fall on you. Once it is supported look for the drain pump on the back right side of the tub. Now place a pan on the floor to catch the water left in the washer. When you are ready, remove the hose from the pump and let the water drain. If there is more water than the pan will hold, reattach the hose and empty the pane. Once the washer is drained, remove the screws securing the pump to the tub and carefully remove it. After is it removed you can clear out the debris.

If you do not hear a hum when push the start button, unplug and tip the washer back as if you were going to remove the pump. Instead of removing the pump, check the wire connections on the drain motor. I have seen them come loose. If this happens, you will need to strip the insulation back and crimp on new connectors.

I hope this is helpful. Please feel free to reply below with more details if you need further assistance.

Q:

My washer is displaying a F code on Kenmore elite model number 11027082602. What does that mean?

A:

The F code indicates that there is a problem with the washer. The number after the F would tell us what area the problem is in. It can be anything from too many suds in the washer to a failed motor or control board.

You will need to schedule service and get a technician to diagnose and repair the problem.

If you want to know what the fault code means send another question and include the complete code.

Q:

model # 11027082602 showing ul code how to troubleshoot hard reset not helping and load is balaned

A:

Those links for previous answers that Anna T. posted in the above response may help you with this UL code on your Kenmore Oasis washer. There is a chance that you have a problem with the suspension springs and rods if the tub is banging when the washer is trying to spin. See if the washer will spin when it is completely empty. If not, I recommend that you check the area underneath the basket for an item that may be stuck in that area. Be sure that you unplug the washer before accessing internal components. If you find no problems with those issues, then you could have a bad bearing in that outer plastic tub. That type of failure will normally need to be diagnosed and repaired by a service technician. Replacing that bearing requires special tools. Here is a link for a previous answer that discusses that bearing replacement: Need new bearing kit for Kenmore Oasis .

Here is a link for the Sears Service website in case you need it: Sears Home Services . You may also consider purchasing a Sears Service Smart Protection Agreement to cover that repair. That agreement would cover the parts and labor for the repair with certain restrictions. It would continue to cover the washer for an entire year. You can all Sears at 1-800-469-4663 (1-800-4MY-HOME) to discuss that type of coverage for this repair.
