Q:

Washer will not start model # 11027042603

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The "F1" fault code implies the control is seeing an error in the signal from the pressure sensor circuit. The severe off balanced load could have caused some debris to shake loose and restrict the pressure switch hose or is restricted at the tub where the hose connects. See images below. Check the hose where it clamps to the rear panel or below the control panel to see if it has the hose pinched and restricted.

There are four areas of concern that can cause the F1 Error Code. All four areas need to be addressed to ensure that the repair is successful:

A. Air leak in the pressure switch hose.

  • Inspect the pressure switch hose for cracks, pin-holes or loose connections.
  • If an air leak is detected, replace the pressure switch hose.
B. Moisture in the air pressure system.
  • Inspect the pressure switch hose system for evidence of moisture.
  • Replace the pressure switch hose if moisture is detected.
C. Lint or flashing in the air dome.
  • Visually inspect the air dome.
  • Use a small round device (small screwdriver) to ensure that there is nothing blocking the air dome outlet on the tub.
D. The control not sensing the water level correctly but since it has been replaced the most likely cause of the "F1" is a pinched or restricted pressure switch hose between the tub and control. NOTE: Disconnect the power cord from the power source before servicing.

If it will not power up, the voltage supply will need to be checked where it enters the control board across the two black wires at P13 connector. If 120 volts is measured then I would suspect a faulty user interface board or possible the control board. Check the things I have covered here and if I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

Ed; I can only add three images in my previous response. I added a couple of images below for diagnosing a dead display. I hope this is helpful.

Q:

have a kenmoreelite oasis model 11027042603 shows f1 when trying to run a cycle.

A:

Thank you for your question.

I see that celene has given you a link to an answered question on an F 35 error code. I would like to add the following information.

The F1 fault code on this washer indicates that the water level pressure transducer signal is out of range. This can be caused by the pressure transducer air hose tubing being pinched or crimped. A failed pressure transducer on the machine control board can also cause it.

The first image below shows the method for accessing the pressure transducer tube that runs from the bottom of the washer tub to the machine control. I recommend checking this air hose for pinches, twists or crimps. NOTE: Be sure to unplug the washer to disconnect electrical power before accessing internal components.

If you find no problems with the pressure transducer tube, then the machine control board will need to be replaced. The procedure for accessing and replacing the machine control board is shown in the second image below. The part number for the machine control board is W10189966. You can order this part from the Sears PartsDirect website www.searspartsdirect.com .

Make sure to unplug the washer before attempting any repair of the washer. If you need further assistance, please reply with more details below.
