Question and Answers

Kenmore 11026862503 Spin cycle is not working properly?

A number of different failures could prevent the washer from spinning properly. The link for a previous answer provided by Barbara H. in the above response may help you with some troubleshooting. The console on your washer is slightly different than the one shown in that previous answer. To open the console (with the washer unplugged ) you will need to use the procedure shown in the first image below. The second image shows the clutch and the other mechanical components involved in the spin function of the washer. I recommend that you check the clutch. See if it is coated with oil or worn smooth. This could prevent the washer from spinning properly. If the clutch is okay, you could have a bad basket drive.

These tips may help you find the cause of your washer failure. If you need more assistance, reply with additional details.

This may be a difficult problem for you to diagnose. If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
