Question and Answers

Heavier loads are still wet after spin cycle is done 11026752500 Kenmore Washer

Spin cycle does not always work 11026752500 Kenmore Washer

Thank you for choosing and being a valued member.  I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when your washer is not working properly.

When the motor coupling goes bad it will cause your unit to not spin or agitate. It may be barely going out and causing intermittment spinning.

285753A is the motor coupling.

63907  also the suspension spring is what keeps the washer balanced. If those are worn then your washer will not be balanced in spin cycle.

You will need to take your agitator apart to check to see if the agitator clutch dogs are broken. When they break your unit will not agitate correctly and it will make a grinding/clicking noise.

Here is the part number for just the dogs. 80040

Example 2-piece agitator assembly

First step is to remove 2 screws from the console front. There should be one on each side and they will be under the plastic end cap covers that will pop off. Then the console will flip back on hinges.
Then you will see two large clips that you will need to pop out with a screwdriver. They attach the cabinet to the rear panel. You will also need to unplug the lid switch wires that are in the cabinet top. Then the whole cabinet should come off revealing the rest of the washer.
The pump unclips but don't remove the hoses or you will get water. Then there should be two screws that hold the motor retainers in place remove those and unplug the motor. Pop off the motor retainers and the motor should come off revealing the motor coupler. part #285753A.
