Question and Answers

Q:

Kenmore washer model 11021302010 not spinning

A:

Hello,

Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life. I know how frustrating it can be when appliances do not function properly.

The first thing we need to do is check for an error code. This washer has a test routine you can run that will help in the diagnosis of any problems the control detects. If the control detects a problem it will identify it with an error code. I am including this information in a set of images below.

Please perform the diagnostic tests detailed here and report back with your findings. Be sure to record any failures and when they occur along with any error codes that are displayed. I am looking forward to assisting you again in the near future.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Q:

Repost: Kenmore Model 11021302010 on the blink.

A:

Thanks for this additional information. I provided some extensive troubleshooting and technical information in that first thread that you started for this problem. Here is a link for the original question: Kenmore Model 11021302010 top load washer on the "blink" (not working) .

I suggested that you check the drain pump and the drain path in that answer. I also provided information on how to access components in the washer. These current details seem to indicate that you have a bad drain pump or a restriction in that drain path. I think that you are on the right track with checking that drain pump and the drain system first.

If you need more help, reply with additional details and we will assist you further.

Q:

washing machine making clicking noise when agitating and spin cycles

A:

Thank you for your question.

I will be happy to assist you. If the clicking noise is when the washer is agitating or spinning, there is a mechanical problem with the washer. To determine where the problem is you will need to visually check each part to determine what is causing the noise. I recommend having a service technician diagnose the problem. The reason is this is a new design and has not been out long enough to give you the likely cause of the problem. You can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

If you hear the noise right before the washer starts to agitate or spin, it is normal. The shifter motor has to engage and disengage the spin basket depending on the cycle.

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you for using Manage my life.
