Question and Answers

Q:

will not go through a wash cycle lid switch starts blinking. 11021102011 Kenmore Automatic washer

A:

The blinking lid lock light does not always indicate that you have a failure in the lid lock/switch mechanism. The lid lock light will blink whenever the washer detects any type of component problem or failure.

There should be a tech sheet in the console of the washer that provides information on diagnostic test modes and fault codes. I recommend that you unplug the washer and open the console to find that document. Use the instructions in the tech sheet to place the washer in the diagnostic test mode and determine the fault codes being signaled. This should point you in the direction of your failure. If the fault code still points to a bad lid lock/switch assembly, then you could have a bad lid lock/switch assembly or a failed electronic control board.

If the fault codes in the diagnostic test point to a different failure, then you can examine the components in the washer based on the fault codes being signaled.

Q:

length wash cycles

A:

The exact cycle times will vary on that washer due to the load sensing features. In general, a load will take around 45 minutes unless the washer encounters an unbalanced load or excessive suds.

I am sorry that I misunderstood what you are asking. The information provided in that link for a previous answer is for a different type of washer. The manufacturer does not provide a specific timing chart for this washer like the one that is provided for that model. I will contact the manufacturer for specific information on the cycle times that you are requesting. I will update this thread as soon as I receive that data.

I contacted the manufacturer but was not able to obtain a specific timing chart for the cycles on this washer. I don't have information available for the length of agitation, rinse or spin portions of the cycle.

Q:

Kenmore top load washer #11021102011: 1) Why does water level drop below the tub when I open the lid. 2) What is the water capacity, specific to

A:

The water that this washer uses is 35% to 40% less water than deep fill conventional washers. The water may settle below the clothes. I do not have specific guidelines to check the water level in this washer. It will normally signal an error code on the display if it is not filling properly. The water fill level is not provided for the small, medium and large load settings. If you suspect that the washer is not filling properly, reply with additional details and we will try to assist you further.
