Q:

New Kenmore Washer-Model # 11020022011

A:

Hi Eileen,

Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life.

The diameter of the inlet hoses have no bearing on the time it takes for this washer to fill. It is normal for this washer to take longer than older washers when filling. This is due to load sensing. The fill time will vary depending on the size of the load for every cycle. During the fill, when the START button is pressed, the washer will first perform a self?test on the lid lock mechanism. You will hear a click, the basket will make a slight turn, and the lid will unlock briefly before locking again. Once the lid has locked the second time, the washer will slowly spin the dry load to estimate the load size, and begin adding water. The washer will then move the load briefly, pause to allow water to soak in to the load, and resume adding water. This process may repeat until the correct amount of water has been added for the load.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

Thanks again for using Manage My Life.

Kenmore Top-Loading Washer-Model 110-20022011 Ser# C13530318

A:

Hi Gail,

Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life.

There is no way to get this washer to fill with water that is 160 degrees.(other than introducing water into the tub directly. For example, pouring it in or running a hose directly from the hot water source and bypassing the washers fill system. NOTE: This is not recommended by Manage My Life or Sears.) The hot wash temperature is thermistor regulated. Wash Temperature is sensed to maintain uniform water temperatures by regulating incoming hot and cold water. This is now mandated to the manufacturer by the Department of Energy. Warm and hot water will be cooler than what previous washers provided.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Here is a link that you may use to view the parts list diagram or to purchase any parts needed; Sears Parts Direct .

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance please reply to this post.
