Question and Answers

Q:

Installing Sears crankshaft in Briggs model 10T802. Need a number for the rod bearing torque and can't find it. Can you tell me? From Sears mower. Bob

A:

I have provided you with an image below out of the service manual. The connecting rod bolts should be torque to 100-inch pounds. Your model is a 100000. If you need further assistance, please feel free to submit more details.

Q:

craftsman mower motor running to slow

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the engine speed. I should be able to help you with adjusting the speed. I have provided you with an image below showing the tab the spring connects to. To speed the engine up you have to bend the tab towards the front of the engine to pull on the spring more. If you are not going to use a tachometer to check the speed of the engine do not adjust is much faster. If it is too fast, it could shorten the life of the engine.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Q:

Electrolux Oven Poor Temp Control

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

When you use an oven thermometer in the oven, make sure it's not near the floor or ceiling and also give the range plenty of time to reach the operating temperature. Note: The oven temperature will be slightly lower than selected when using the convection bake.

The broil element (upper) and bake element (hidden) should measure between 14-19 Ohms. I added an image below of the RTD scale of the oven temperature sensor probes. At room temperature of 75 plus or minus 2.5 degrees, the sensor should measure 1091 Ohms plus or minus 5.3 Ohms.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.
