Q:

Briggs & stratton engine model #10A902 4 hp

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the engine. There could be a few things going on. There is a diaphragm and gasket between the carburetor and the fuel tank. Usually that diaphragm is the problem. When you push the primer the flappers on the diaphragm close and force the fuel into the carburetor. If they are not closing because they are dry, it will not prime. I recommend replacing the diaphragm first. To do that you will need to remove the fuel tank and the carburetor. Then remove the screws securing the carburetor to the tank. Once removed scrape the surfaces clean and inspect the tube that goes into the tank. If you see any cracks or holes in the tube, the carburetor has to be replaced.

I have looked up the kit and it is part number 795083 and can be ordered from our parts website: Sears Parts Direct .

Q:

What is an E1 error?

A:

Your digital display should have shown a F1 and not an E1 error code. F1 indicates a primary control failure. Meaning the machine control board will need to be replaced. I recommend calling a service technician to repair your dryer.
