Icemaker 10658702802 Kenmore Elite Side-by-side refrigerator

Thank you for your inquiry on your Kenmore Refrigerator, Model:106.58702802. From reviewing the details on your model, the ice maker in your refrigerator will produce six cubes per cycle. In a 24 hour period the ice make should make approximately 100-130 cubes. This will depend on the freezer compartment temperature, room temperature, number of door openings and other operating conditions. Be sure that nothing is interfering with the sweep of the automatic shut off arm and that the arm is in its lowest position. When the arm is raised up all the way the ice maker will stop producing ice, thinking that the ice bin is full. If the freezer temperature is too hot or cold the production will be affected. Freezer temperatures in Fahrenheit: Below 5 - Ice maker works great. Between 5-10 Ice maker works, but slowly. Between 10-15 Ice maker works, but very slowly. Between 15-20 Ice maker works sporadically, if at all. Below 0 - Ice maker fill tube can freeze over. Cubes may not get harvested once formed. You did not mention if the ice maker was still filling with water or not. Since you mentioned that you changed the water filter I will assume that it is not filling. When you replace a water filter you need to purge the water line of air. In order to do so you will need to do the following: Obtain a large bucket (5 Gallon) Empty 2-3 gallons of water from the dispenser If the water is not coming out of the dispenser pump it for 60 seconds. If water is still sputtering from the dispenser after 3 gallons have been discharged instead of flowing steadily repeat steps one and two above. If the stream is weak, try re-installing the water filter and purging the system again. Kinked or frozen water line - Tubing can become kinked when pushing the unit back after installation, service or routine maintenance. Plastic tubing that is kinked can often be re-positioned to remove kink. Copper tubing when kinked, however, is "damaged" and must be repaired or replaced, in which case you should call a licensed plumber, installer (if new installation) or servicer to repair / replace the tubing. If all else fails you should check your water pressure. You can check with your water company to find out what your water pressure is, Should be between 30 - 120 psi. If you are on a well, there should be a gauge on your water system.

Safety Warning: Before beginning the repair, disconnect the direct power supply to the refrigerator to prevent the risk of injury or any electrical shock.
