Question and Answers

Q:

how to fix KENMORE 10657062601a loose door handle

A:

Thank you for the question.

I should be able to assist you in tightening the handle of the refrigerator. I recommend putting tape on the door above, the handle to protect the finish of the door. Then pull up on the handle. The handle just hooks on two studs on the door. Once you have the handle off tighten the studs and reinstall the handle. I have provided an image out of the manual showing how to remove the handles.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Sometimes you need to really yank up hard on the handle. If the screw for the bracket is loose, it might allow the bracket to tip and lock the handle on. Try pulling out on the handle and sliding business cards down behind the bracket. This should keep the bracket from tipping. Then pull up on the handle. I have had one handle I had to pull the screws out of the door panel. Then I reinstalled the bracket with a larger screw.
