Question and Answers

Q:

What can be done on the water inlet to my ice maker from freezing?

A:

Thank you for your question.

I can understand your dilemma with the fill tube freezing.

There is a fix for this but I would recommend that you have a technician do this repair.

It would be a good idea to have the part available for the technician.

The part number for the repair kit is W10149365 and you can purchase if from:Sears Parts Direct .

This will cost about $40.00.

This kit comes with a fill tube and a longer fill cup but you have to be able to fish the old line out and it is probably frozen in.

I hope this will help.

Q:

How to fix my KENMORE, Refrigerator door hinge from clicking?

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the door. Usually when this happens, it is because the screw that secures the door cam has come loose. When the screw loosens up the cam will click or clunk when the door is opened and closed. I have provided you with an image below showing the cam in red. It is located on the lower door hinges. The screw that is marked with a blue box it the screw that needs to be tightened. To tighten the screw, have someone lift up on the door when it is open. This should give you enough room to get a 5/16 wrench onto the head of the screw to tighten it up. There is also a screw that secures the other half of the cam to the door. Make sure to watch this cam as you open and close the door. If it seems loose, you have to tighten it up as well.

Please let me know if you need further assistance on the refrigerator.
