Q:

Ice Maker not working on model 10656533400 10656533400 Kenmore Refrigerator, sxs

A:

Hello Brad. I am sorry to hear about your problems with that icemaker in your Kenmore Refrigerator Model 106.56533400.

You could have a problem with that ice maker module. I recommend that you read through this previous thread and follow the troubleshooting tips to determine the cause of your failure in that ice maker system: How do I get my icemaker to work? There is no ice/water in the system anywhere.

This ice maker system is challenging to diagnose and repair in some situations. If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician examine the refrigerator and fix this problem, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services Refrigerator Repair.

Q:

removing ice maker from freezer as a unit for replacement

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having problems with the icemaker. Removing the icemaker can be difficult. I have provided you with the instructions for removing the icemaker below. Please unplug the refrigerator first then use the instructions in the image to assist in removing the icemaker. If you are sure, the icemaker is the problem, go ahead and replace it but if you are not sure the problem could be the fill valve. If the fill valve is not sealing the water will drip into the icemaker and over flow. To check this, remove the icemaker for a few hours. If there is water or ice coming from the fill tube I recommend replacing the valve.

Please let me know if you need further assistance on the repair of the icemaker.
