Question and Answers

Q:

How do you access the dispenser lock switch and dispenser lever switch on refrigerator model 10652554100?

A:

Before you begin disconnect the power to the refrigerator. There are 2 slots on the bottom of the front trim of the dispenser. Insert a flat blade screwdriver into each slot and pry the front trim from the dispenser. Lift the front trim up and away from the dispenser. You can let it hang by the wires while you work.

Remove the screws holding the bracket to the dispenser and pull the bracket away from the dispenser.

Some models have a micro switch for water and ice, some have these switches built into the switch assembly where the control buttons are. The lock switch is part of the front switch assembly.

Q:

How do you remove the front dispenser cover on a Kenmore refrigerator model 10652554100?

A:

The exploded parts diagram for your dispenser is shown in the image below. To get the dispenser cover off, follow these steps:

  1. Unplug the refrigerator to completely disconnect electrical power.
  2. Pull the drip tray (Key 9) out of the dispenser.
  3. After pulling out the drip tray, you may see two screws a the bottom of the front cover. If so, remove the two screws and then pull the front cover off. If there are no screws, you will need to carefully pry off the cover from the bottom. It will snap off once the clips are released.
