Air filter

The air filter removes contaminants from the intake air before it reaches the engine, to help reduce engine wear and improve efficiency.

Carburetor

The carburetor mixes air with fuel in the proper proportion to produce a combustible gas. That gas/air mixture is pulled into the cylinder, where the piston compresses it and the spark plug ignites it.

Carburetor rebuild kit

The carburetor rebuild kit includes gaskets, seals, a hinge pin and other components to refurbish the carburetor.

Flexible pump coupler

The flexible pump coupler connects the engine shaft to the hydraulic pump assembly. If the hydraulic pump seizes up, the coupler breaks to protect the engine from damage.

Fuel line

The fuel line is a rubber hose that connects the gas tank to the carburetor to supply fuel to the engine.

Hydraulic control valve

The hydraulic control valve directs the hydraulic fluid flow to the hydraulic cylinder to extend and retract the piston and wedge.

Hydraulic cylinder

The hydraulic cylinder extends and retracts the piston and wedge to split wood.

Hydraulic filter

The hydraulic fluid traps dirt and prevent contaminants from circulating through the hydraulic system, which helps to reduce wear on hydraulic system components.

Hydraulic hose

The hydraulic hoses carry the hydraulic fluid to the components of the hydraulic system.

Hydraulic pump

The hydraulic pump generates the hydraulic pressure to extend the hydraulic cylinder and wedge.

Recoil starter

The recoil starter is a starter system mounted on the side of the engine that consists of a rope and spring-loaded pulley system. Pulling the starter rope rotates the spring-loaded pulley and spins the crankshaft to start the engine.

Spark plug

The spark plug ignites the air and fuel mixture in the engine of a gas-powered log splitter.

Starter rope

The self-retracting starter rope coils around a spring-loaded pulley inside the recoil starter assembly. Pull the starter rope rotates the spring-loaded pulley and spins the crankshaft to start the engine.
