Elliptical Common Parts

C-magnet

The C-magnet surrounds a portion of the flywheel and creates variable resistance to the flywheel. The closer the C-magnet sits to the flywheel, the greater the flywheel resistance.

Pulse sensor

The pulse sensor detects your heart rate and sends the pulse signal to the console for display.

Reed switch

The reed switch detects a magnet attached to the rotating crank arm pulley to sense speed and sends the speed signal to the console.

Resistance motor

The resistance motor changes the distance of the C-magnet from the flywheel to adjust the pedal resistance.

Side shield

The side shields cover and protect the crank arms and pulleys.

Tension cable

The tension cable attaches to the C-magnet and adjusts the distance between the C-magnet and the flywheel to vary the resistance.
