Kenmore 2014 model self-cleaning electric range error codes

Check/Repair

If oven isn't overheating, check the oven temperature sensor probe and replace if necessary. If oven is overheating, disconnect power. If oven overheats when the power is restored, replace the electronic oven control board. Severe overheating may require replacing the range, if damage is extensive.

Electronic oven control board's keyboard is shorted,

Check/Repair

Disconnect electrical power, wait 30 seconds and restore power. If the fault code returns, replace the electronic oven control board. The keypad is incorporated into the electronic control board assembly on this type of circuit board.

Faulty micro-processor identification for the electronic oven control board

Check/Repair

Unplug the range for 30 seconds then plug it back in to restore power. If the code resumes after restoring power, unplug the range and replace the electronic oven control board.

Communication failure between the electronic oven control board and the electronic surface element control

Check/Repair

Disconnect electrical power and check the wiring between the electronic oven control board and the electronic surface element control. Reconnect any loose wires. If the wiring is okay, replace the electronic surface element control. If the problem continues, replace the user interface controls. If the problem still continues, replace the electronic oven control board.

Electrically open oven temperature sensor probe connection

Check/Repair

Check the resistance of the oven temperature sensor probe at room temperature and compare the reading to the oven temperature sensor resistance chart. If the resistance doesn't match the chart, replace the oven temperature sensor probe. Check the oven temperature sensor probe wiring harness in the circuit between the electronic oven control board and the oven temperature sensor probe connector. Replace the harness if necessary. If the lock motor continuously runs and the microswitch is open, replace the oven door latch motor assembly. If this troubleshooting doesn't resolve the problem, replace the electronic oven control board.

Shorted oven temperature sensor probe circuit

Check/Repair

Shut off electrical power and check the resistance of the oven temperature sensor probe. If the resistance is less than 500 ohms, replace the sensor. If not, plug the sensor back in and check the resistance through the entire circuit. If the If the resistance is abnormal, have the wiring repaired. If not, replace the electronic oven control board.

Maximum oven door unlock time exceeded

Check/Repair

Check the wiring between the electronic oven control board and the oven door lock motor microswitch. Replace the oven door latch motor assembly if necessary. Check for binding of the latch cam, lock motor rod and lock motor cam. If the lock motor coil is open, replace the lock motor assembly. If the lock motor continuously runs and the microswitch is open, replace the oven door latch motor assembly. If this troubleshooting doesn't resolve the problem, replace the electronic oven control board.
